We’re back, and this time it’s one of our engineers taking the reign.
We’ve been granted a few rare days of sun on this rainy island, so we’re taking the chance to escape (at least visually). These homes channel the Southern European vibes we usually pay good money to get sunburned by. No promises they’ll erase the daily grind, but they certainly give it a good go.

Home of the week

My pick this week: a charming home that makes outer London feel surprisingly Español. The recent sunshine has me craving a Mediterranean escape. Turns out it’s just an Uber ride away, a few miles off the M1.

Theme of the week: Mediterranean in the UK

We all love a good holiday. A warm breeze, a glass of wine or iced coffee, maybe even a coastline worth staring at.
Grab your bathing suit and let’s dive in.
Lets leave Spain and head to the Côte d’Azur, via Hampshire. With a pool like that, the location’s irrelevant; the leafy arches and palm trees are doing a fine job of convincing me I could be anywhere.

Next up we have coastline views. Add in some muted earth tones and a bit of cheeky, low-slung outdoor seating and on a warm summer evening you’ll feel thoroughly transported to the south (even if that south is Dorset).
The whole thing gives off a calm, contemplative vibe. Now all you need is a good book to ignore while you scroll on your phone.

This home proves you don’t need to break the bank to get the romantic balcony view we all daydream about when we’re trying to unwind.

Cute little wrought-iron balconies? Olive trees? Last but not least, we’ve got this place. Its back garden serves just the right dash of the Italian Riviera.

Plot twist

This vibrant home might not show it from the outside, but step inside and it’s full-blown Spanish finca decor. Anyone have an abuelita I can borrow to potter around that kitchen?
