Jitty On: the Half Term Edition

Jitty On: the Half Term Edition

Made by Jitty

It’s Daniel here, standing in for Liv and Rich while they make the most of half term.
I may not know what "mid-century" means, but I do know to channel my inner child. So, in the spirit of the week, we’ve gone hunting for homes that are brilliant for kids, or at least make you feel like one again.
We’re talking gardens with rope swings, secret dens, lofts that double as lookout towers, and yes: actual treehouses. Homes that invite a bit of climbing, a bit of chaos, and a bit of joy.

Home of the week

Winner of the Chilterns Building Design Awards, Knight Frank have listed this amazing 6 bed house with lovely views across open fields and - importantly for this week's theme, a slide.

Theme of the Week… Tree Houses

aka… I’ve rented flats smaller than this
Every adult secretly wants one. A treehouse is childhood distilled, half den, half daydream. Somewhere to hide from homework or pretend you’re king of the jungle. It doesn’t even need to be in a tree, really. Slap a ladder on a shed and call it “The Fort” and you’re basically there.
I don't have anything clever to say about this one. I'm sure it's got some bedrooms or whatever - but all we really care about is the massive wooden dragon.

Something about the treehouse in this 4 bed farmhouse in Preson makes me exceptionally nervous. Yes, it’s a shed in a tree just about holding on, but in a way, aren’t we all?

And finally, this a 3 bed Semi in Long Eaton that reminds us that you don’t always need a grand country house or a 30-foot dragon. Sometimes it’s enough to just get up off the ground for a little bit.

Plot Twist

On those rainy days sometimes it’s better just to stay inside. In your very own soft play center.
Normal service with Liv & Rich will resume next time.
