The home

The location

New Buildings is an attractive cul-de-sac within Fishponds, on the edge of expansive green space surrounding the Frome Valley. The open feel to the area is rarely found in such a relatively central city location with an abundance of greenery, trees and wildlife on the doorstep for residents of this area. The area has a strong sense of community with several local events and groups to join. Eastville Park is home to a range of facilities including tennis courts and a bowls green as well as indoor community space. Just beyond Eastville Park, a short walk away is also Greenbank, home to the popular Greenbank Cemetery, great for exploring, but also home to some brilliant independent shops and cafes like Este's and Matter Wholefoods. Fishponds has seen several cafs established nearby, becoming very popular, including The Crafty Egg and FED. Snuffy Jacks is a great local micro-pub on the Fishponds Road high street whilst Irish pub The Star, a five-minute walk from the property, is a well-regarded historic venue, home to live music and the accolade of 'best pint of Guinness in Bristol'. For commuters, Fishponds is very convenient with ease of access to the M32 and M4 motorways, as well as just being a short cycle, drive or bus journey into the city centre or to large areas of employment across North Bristol. The area benefits from several tarmacked cycle paths which provide traffic free routes into the City Centre, or out towards the suburbs, or to Keynsham and Bath.
