Description

Brickworks says

Set back from the road on one of South Hampstead’s tree-lined streets, this two-bedroom flat occupies the first floor of an imposing semi-detached Victorian house, with leafy views from its elevated position. Inside, things are calm and considered, with a neutral palette that gives the light plenty of room to roam.

The lounge is bright and roomy: think sofa, dinner parties and space for a cinema wall. The kitchen is equally as practical in size, with plenty of storage, plus room to dine. The principal bedroom has full-height fitted wardrobes and its own en-suite — a small but welcome touch. And the second bedroom is ready to evolve as life does; home office, guest room, or nursery.

Aberdare Gardens sits in a particularly good pocket of north-west London, with independent cafés, delis, restaurants and shops dotted around West End Lane and the neighbouring streets. Hampstead Heath and Fortune Green are close by, while Regent’s Park isn’t far either. South Hampstead and West Hampstead stations are a short walk away.

The owners say

We bought the flat around 10 years ago and lived there very happily for many years. We were drawn to the flat because of the sense of space and light and, just as importantly, we loved the location. Aberdare Gardens has a lovely residential feel, while still being incredibly well connected and close to everything you need.

More recently, work took us to Singapore, so we've been renting the flat out while living overseas. We've now decided that the time is right to sell, although we'll be genuinely sad to say goodbye to a home that has been such a big part of our lives. We have so many happy memories of our time there and hope whoever moves in next will enjoy both the flat, and the neighbourhood, every bit as much as we did.
