The history
The Robinson Building in Bedminster, Bristol, was once a large paper bag and printing factory established by E. A. & A. Robinson in the late 19th century. The building's redevelopment created 100 apartments on five of the existing floors, as well as in a two-storey addition to the roof. A standout feature is the circular atrium and glazed roof, which bring light through the middle of the building.

The home
As you enter the maisonette apartment, a wide hallway gives easy access to both levels. Downstairs, there is an open-plan kitchen/living room that opens to double-height windows at the far end. The modern kitchen includes a kitchen island and offers plenty of space for keen cooks. Further along is a flexible living area and a window seat, a good spot for reading or a Sunday morning coffee. Along the hallway, there is a modern bathroom with a tiled feature wall, plus additional storage.

Upstairs, there are two bedrooms. The main bedroom overlooks the living space and the double-height windows and includes a recently renovated en suite. Next door is a flexible second room, currently used as a home office.

Living in Bedminster
The Robinson Building sits just off East Street in Bedminster. North Street is close by and is a hub for local independents, restaurants, and shops, including Michelin-recommended COR and Other, coffee shops Sweven and Burra, and The Tobacco Factory. The Tobacco Factory is a caf, bar, and theatre. It hosts a bustling Sunday market.

Nearby East Street has more independent stores and coffee shops, including The Bristol Loaf, Southville Deli, Boona Boona Coffee Roasters, and Pinkmans.
Several parks surround the building. St John's churchyard is 1 minute away, while the iconic Victoria Park is a short 10-minute walk. In the opposite direction, South Street Park is close by, and Greville Smyth Park is about a 15-minute walk. Beyond Greville Smyth, a further 20 minutes on foot is the Ashton Court Estate, home to the annual Bristol Balloon Fiesta and 850 acres of woodland and grassland.

Bristol Temple Meads is a 10-minute drive or a 35-minute walk and offers direct services to Bath Spa (11 minutes) and London Paddington (1 hour 35 minutes). For local connections, Parson Street is 10 minutes on foot, and bus routes run regularly from North Street and West Street.
