Owners insights:
What do you love most about your home?
The high ceilings and the original features make this flat feel really special, especially the beautiful large bay window and ornate ceiling rose in the bedroom. It’s also incredibly rare to find a one-bedroom flat that’s this spacious and has so much built-in storage, to the point that I even have a mini utility room. The finish is high-spec throughout, including underfloor heating in the bathroom so it’s completely move-in ready with no work needed. Having a private, south-facing garden with no neighbours backing onto it was a huge bonus. It feels like a little oasis in North London and makes the property feel even bigger. Despite being between two main roads, Thane Villas is genuinely the most peaceful street I’ve ever lived on.
What do you love about the area?
Being so centrally located means I’m within walking distance of Finsbury Park, Stroud Green, Crouch End, Highbury, Stoke Newington, Highgate, Holloway, Camden, Angel and Hampstead Heath, and I could keep going. There are loads of public transport options right on the doorstep, and if you’re a cyclist it’s even better. Every amenity you could need is close by too, including a huge range of shops, two street food markets, multiple sports facilities and one of the best concentrations of pubs in North London. I’ll really miss the community feel, the vibrancy and diversity of the area, and the amount of green space for somewhere so central. Woodberry Downs is an absolute must-visit.
