"We have loved our time on Bloomfield Road; it has a welcoming, relaxed feel and has been the perfect balance for us of ease to get into Bristol's city centre and Temple Meads for work trips to London but with green spaces and quiet for the weekends and the days we work from home. We love grabbing a coffee and lunch from the Deli on the High Street, going for a run at the weekend through Nightingale Valley & St Anne's Woods (and ending at the bakery Catley's) or walking along the river path to Beese's and going to Pilates classes at nearby Paintworks."

The home

The house was fully renovated in 2022 and since then the current owners have made the house a beautiful home with some gorgeous interior decoration. Downstairs there is a spacious living room to the front with bay window overlooking the street, stripped wood floors and a log burner. There is a large dining room in the middle of the house with space for an additional sofa which leads to the modern kitchen which has metro tiles and brass fittings. There is also a downstairs loo. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms all with stripped wooden floors and the light and bright master having some excellent fitted wardrobes and wonderful morning light. The loft which is accessed by a ladder is a great additional space which the current owners use as a home office and gym and also has eaves storage. The house also has a cellar which runs the length of the house and is perfect for a DIY workshop/cycle storage.

The outside

The rear garden has been landscaped and has a lawn, a patio and a raised deck which is great for a summer BBQ. There is also rear access.

Living in Brislington

Situated in a lovely pocket of houses in Brislington, this property is within walking distance of several well-regarded shops, pubs and cafes including Kin, Deli at Sandy Park and The Langton. Paintworks is also just a short walk and is home to Miro Lounge and Coffee Club. Hop Union and Lost & Grounded are nationally renowned Bristol breweries with taprooms, both of which are within walking distance.
The area is popular with young professionals families, being both close to the city centre but also accessible to several parks and larger green areas, such as the Nightingale Valley Nature Reserve, Eastwood Farm and St Annes Wood. Arnos Vale Cemetery is just a short walk away and there are fairly extensive footpaths around the River Avon, which wrap around Brislington through some scenic spots, which includes the popular Beese's Riverside Bar to the east. The area is also home to several good schools, such as Holymead and St Anne's Infants, as well as Out There Forest School and Kindergarten. For commuters, Brislington is well placed, with several buses running through the area, as well as routes for cycling and walking to Bristol City Centre including a traffic free path along the Avon to Bristol Temple Meads.
