Description

Positioned within a modern canalside development, this well-proportioned one bedroom apartment offers a peaceful setting whilst being moments from some of East London's most vibrant neighbourhoods.

The accommodation comprises a bright open plan reception room with space for both living and dining, complemented by a contemporary kitchen with integrated appliances. French doors open onto a Juliet balcony overlooking the attractive communal courtyard, allowing plenty of natural light to flood the living space.

The generous double bedroom benefits from excellent built-in storage, while the modern bathroom and well-maintained interiors make the property ready to move straight into. Quietly positioned away from busy roads, the apartment provides a calm retreat despite being within easy reach of the City and the best of Islington, Shoreditch and Hoxton.

Ideal for first-time buyers, professionals or investors, the property combines modern living with an exceptional location.

Devizes Street enjoys an enviable position between Regent's Canal and Shoreditch Park, placing some of North and East London's most sought-after destinations within easy walking distance. Stroll along the canal towards Angel for its renowned restaurants, bars and boutiques, or head east to Broadway Market, London Fields and Victoria Park.

The surrounding area is home to an excellent selection of independent cafés, pubs and restaurants, including the much-loved Rosemary Branch just across the canal, while Shoreditch and Hoxton offer an ever-changing mix of nightlife, coffee shops and cultural attractions.

Transport links are excellent, with Hoxton and Haggerston Overground stations nearby, alongside numerous bus routes providing easy access to the City, King's Cross, Liverpool Street and beyond. Moorgate is approximately a 20-minute walk, making this an ideal home for City professionals.

Owners insights:

What do you love most about your home?

The location has been perfect for me as someone working in the City. I can walk to Moorgate in around 20 minutes, Shoreditch Park is on my doorstep and Regent's Canal is just outside the building. Whichever direction you head, there's always somewhere to explore, whether it's Angel, De Beauvoir, Broadway Market, London Fields or Victoria Park. There are fantastic restaurants, independent cafés and brilliant pubs nearby, with The Rosemary Branch being a particular favourite.

The apartment itself is incredibly peaceful. It overlooks the landscaped internal courtyard rather than a road, so it's surprisingly quiet for such a central London location. The kitchen is very well equipped, particularly if you enjoy cooking, and the flat has always felt bright, practical and easy to live in.

Why are you selling?

I've lived here for more than ten years and have genuinely loved every minute of it. The only reason I'm moving is because I now need more space, so it's very much a lifestyle decision rather than wanting to leave the area.

What do you love about the area?

For me, it's the perfect balance. You're surrounded by green space with both Shoreditch Park and Regent's Canal just moments away, yet you're also within walking distance of the City and some of London's best neighbourhoods. Whether you want a morning run along the canal, dinner in Angel, drinks in Shoreditch or a weekend at Broadway Market, everything is within easy reach. It's an area that always has something happening, but the apartment itself remains a peaceful place to come home to.
