'Defiance' is a beautifully finished narrowboat designed and built by Jonathan Wilson in the vibrant and creative Lisson Grove Mooring, Marylebone.

Prime Mooring Location: The boat and surrounding area are filled with lush plants and greenery, offering a serene, natural environment that's conveniently within walking distance of Oxford Circus. The area has excellent transport connections and it's just a five minute walk along the canal to Regents Park.

Modern Amenities: In the last two years, the boat has been upgraded with a Bosch dishwasher, a John Lewis washing machine, and a newly purchased larger fridge freezer than photographed, ensuring all the conveniences of modern living. There is a good sized water tank and hot water boiler with a tap just outside the door to refill. There is a casette toilet which you can drive 10 minutes on the boat to empty or pay a very small fee to have it conveniently done on site. This could be easily replaced by a compost toilet after purchase.

Solid Steel Construction: While some exterior work paint is needed, recent touch-ups include fresh paint on the bow and roof. A recently installed oak framed skylight brings natural light into the living space and beautiful views of the overhanging trees.

Outdoor Living: Relax under the newly built outdoor pergola, which also doubles up as additional outdoor storage with four hidden access hatches.

Comfortable Interior: The boat has been recently repainted a warm white inside and there is solid wood flooring in the living room and bedroom. Storage is unusually plentiful on this boat with ample kitchen cuboards and a generous space above the engine room. The bed has been recently raised in order to provide an extra 70cm of under-bed storage.

Heating: A wood and coal burner in the living room provides ample heat in the winter but two powerful De Longhi Dragon 4s can be included in the purchase which can be timed to come on.

The important stuff: Last blacked in February 2024 so would not need to be done for until 2026 earliest. Survey done in June 2022, report available. Boat Safety Certificate competed June 2022, next due July 2026. Mooring fees currently £809 per month. Mooring is transferable and included in price.
